NUJ trains 50 journalists on ICT in Bauchi

Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bauchi State chapter has concluded arrangements to conduct a three day training for journalists in the state.   A statement by Malam Yakubu Muhammad Lame, the Secretary of the union, said 50 journalists from various media organisations in the state will participate at the training.

Malam Lame said the training which is on the Application of ICT in Modern Journalism, is a collaboration with Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi.

The statement said the state commissioners of Education, Information, culture and tourism as well as the Head of Civil Service of the state, are expected to attend the opening ceremony of the training which comes up on 18th July, 2017 at the Computer Centre of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi.

According to the statement, the second batch of the training exercise comes up after the first batch in which other members of the union will be considered.

The statement called on the prospective participants of the training exercise to consider it as an opportunity to improve their ICT knowledge for the effective discharge of their duty.
