Governor Mohammed Abubakar Visits Road Construction Sites


Governor MA Abubakar has commended the company handling the construction/dualization of Jamaare Road in Azare for working according to specification.

The Governor gave the commendation when he paid an inspection visit to the area. Governor Abubakar expressed satisfaction on the level of progress of the work. According to the Governor, the Company handling the project is among the construction firms that he is satisfied with. The Governor challenged the construction firm to review their work plan so as to hasten the completion of the road for possible commissioning by January 2018.

Briefing the Governor, the site Engineer, Engr. Sagir Ali Shamaki and the Project Manager Ali Fawas said the dualization of the Jama’re road Azare was awarded last year to AG Vision Nig Ltd and work has reached 95 percent. Mr. Fawas promised the Governor timely completion of the project and also gave assurances for qualitative work, he thanked the Governor for the recent release of funds to the company.

However, Governor M.A Abubakar threatened to revoke the contract of the contractor handling the construction work of the Atafowa – Magarya road if the company fail to hasten the completion of the road on schedule.

The Governor was also at Hanafari – Jurara – Garin Babana – Sabon Kafi to Dogon jeji road to see the progress of work. The Governor was visibly happy with what he met on ground. Governor Abubakar commended the contractor for the quality job executed so far and also pledged to release more funds to enable them to complete the work on schedule.
