Renewing the drive to diversify the economy and woo critical investors to the state, Gov. M. A. Abubakar today led a delegation to discuss Nigeria – Australia trade opportunities. The event which was organised the Australia Africa Business Council (AABC) had members of the Victoria State Government Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources in attendance.
Governor Abubakar who was also accompanied by the President of the NBA, Barr. Abubakar Mahmoud, centred discussions on agriculture, mining, health, education and road construction with a view of growing the economy beyond oil.
Deleberations were said to be successful from all parties.
Recall that majority of Gov. Abubakar’s foreign trips are already yielding results. Only recently about 20 students were granted scholarships by the state to study abroad after signing an MoU with the Czech Republic. Similar initiatives have yielded positive results
